Poems by Clair Mullineaux
Poem
Every poem a love poem.
Every poem a red, red rose.
Every dawn a wedding-day.
All songs a red, red rose.
Every morning, the first day of my life.
Each flower a rose, a rose.
Every morning the morning of the funeral.
Every hymn, a rose.
Every bell a passing-bell a wedding-bell.
Every love, a rose.
Every meeting a lovers’ meeting.
Each look a gift, a rose.
Every day, a birthday.
Every gift, a rose.
Every morning the first day the last day.
Every love, a rose.
How shall I my true love know?
Love’s like a red, red rose.
